Owning Your Feminine Power

When I began this journey as a Boudoir Photographer, I didn’t understand what it was to completely stand in my own power. Hell, somedays I fight to hold onto it. We all understand what it is, as women, to be selfless and allow our power to be in the hands of others. We have all taken part of ourselves and given it away. Whether, that be to a partner, a child or even a relative. We give constantly and sometimes to the detriment of our own strength. Women, oftentimes, recognize that how their day goes, depends on the attitude and mood of others around them. We allow ourselves to FEEL for everyone else around us and completely discount that our power is stripped of us every time this happens. Don’t get me wrong, being empathetic to others is not a BAD trait. However, oftentimes, what ends up happening is we become co-dependent on the people around us, instead of standing in our own energy and feminine power.

So what if…

you chose to allow the people around you to feel their own emotions, without taking away from yourself in order to FIX the other person’s emotional state? Pretty powerful stuff right?

My sole purpose is becoming more clear as I evolve into photography, marriage, motherhood and my entire feminine world. I want you to be able to stand alone. I want you to be able to be comfortable STANDING UP and being your own strength. Being your own ENERGY. So instead of feeding others energy (that you have no control over) you could live to energize them with YOURS!

I know what you are thinking…what the heck does this have to do with Boudoir?

So glad you asked… Boudoir is so much more than sexy images. Boudoir is an experience that takes you into the most vulnerable state you can be in and shows you the feminine power that you possess. This experience isn’t just FUN. It’s empowering, it’s life-changing. It’s feeds your soul and shows you that you carry within you, the power of a Goddess. A Warrior. A Queen.

How can this happen just from putting on lingerie and posing in seductive ways? Well, let’s just break this down. Do you notice, that your energy changes when you wear new clothes, get your hair freshly cut and styled, or even just get your nails done? Now let’s amplify that by 1000 and give you the makeover that you haven’t had in years, if ever.

Next, let’s give you the opportunity to stand in your most authentic, beautiful and spiritually significant feminine form.

Finally, let’s show you images of yourself that showcase the absolute essence of who you are as a woman and capture your divine feminine power on a still image.

THIS is the Essence of boudoir.

What happens after you show someone a a stronger and more pure form of themselves that is often hidden from sight for a majority of their life? You begin to shift their thinking. You begin to allow them the space to see something from an outside perspective.

Several things can happen at this point…

I have seen women recognize that they deserve more and stand up for themselves, leave a relationship or create a more confident version of themselves that strengthens their marriage. I have seen women finally stand up and start moving towards their dreams and/or shift careers. Hell, I have seen women stop the negative self talk completely, which in turn, alters the toxic self talk that their children and family hear. Knowing that boudoir has the power to change, not only a woman's mind set, but also how her children learn to speak to themselves, is as profound as it gets.

You see, if we as women, begin to love ourselves to the point of shifting our mindsets to stop speaking negatively to ourselves, so many things can change. Your children and your family, the beings you love most in the world need you to love yourself. They NEED you to be the example. Otherwise, this will perpetuate a vicious cycle or self-hate and lack of self worth. It is time to find the most authentic, feminine, powerful version of YOU!!

Boudoir is the catalyst. Boudoir is the platform that you can use to elevate, not only your self worth, but those around you as well.
